Kim Kardashian fans share shock theory about why she REALLY always covers her body with gloves and long pants
KIM Kardashian fans are convinced that they have discovered the real reason she covers her body from head to toe.
The reality star frequently models Balenciaga outfits, concealing her skin with gloves and long pants.
Reddit users think they cracked the code behind Kim‘s conservative attire, theorizing that her psoriasis is to blame.
“THEORY: Kim wears the shants and gloves to hide her psoriasis,” the original poster wrote alongside a collage of the star’s psoriasis flare-up snaps.
The post garnered a slew of comments from others with the same thoughts.
“Hmm now I thinking, what if she wore that whole entire black outfit at the met gala 2021 because she had a bad case of psoriasis?” one person questioned.
“BEEN saying this,” a second agreed.
“I thought this was common knowledge / everyone thought this since her outfit at the Met last year. She even wears gloves in glam interviews on the show,” said another.
However, others weren’t sold on the theory or her outfit choices.
“Maxi dress, long sleeves, long pants, tights. Literally anything can cover it. The Batman suits aren’t necessary,” a fan remarked.

“Nah real pants socks and shoes hide it just fine,” chimed in another.
Meanwhile, some critics believed Kim’s head-to-toe ensembles might be doing more harm than good by “irritating” her skin condition.
“I have psoriasis too and covering it up for sure makes it worse. The body make up irritates it as well,” one commented.
I forget sometimes she has it. I will say encasing psoriasis plaques in sweaty spandex is definitely adversarial,” echoed another.
PSORIASIS BATTLE
The 41-year-old has been open about her battle with psoriasis, a skin disease that causes red, itchy, scaly patches.
The flare-ups most commonly occur on the knees, elbows, trunk, and scalp.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum revealed she first began to deal with psoriasis in her mid-20s.
In an article for her sister Kourtney’s brand Poosh, Kim wrote: “When I was 25, I had my first psoriasis flare-up.
“I got a common cold, and since psoriasis is an autoimmune condition, this triggered it. It was all over my stomach and legs.”
She continued: “Luckily, in my apartment complex at the time, my neighbor was a dermatologist. I showed it to him, and he said to come into the office, and he would give me a shot of cortisone, and then hopefully, it would go away (since it was my first big outbreak).
“I did this, and my psoriasis completely went away for about five years.”
Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, 66, also has psoriasis, though Kim was her only child to inherit the condition.
Kim explained in the Poosh story that her psoriasis returned when she was in her early 30s.
DISAPPEARING ACT
The SKIMS mogul- who shares four kids with ex-husband Kanye West, 44 – noted that her skin cleared up during her pregnancies.
She wrote: “When I got pregnant both times, it fully went away.
“That was amazing, but then it came back again.”
Kim has shared numerous photos on Instagram that showed off her outbreaks on her face and legs.
She even reflected on the condition via her now-defunct app.
According to Glamour, the beauty mogul wrote, back in 2016: “Sometimes the rashes are itchy, sometimes they’re flaky.
“Mine flares up from time to time for different reasons…. Scientists are constantly researching and developing new medications to help treat it, but for now, I use a topical cortisone ointment every night before bed.
“I’m always hoping for a cure, of course, but in the meantime, I’m learning to just accept it as part of who I am.”
HEALTH ISSUES
Then in 2018, Kim shared her plans to go on medication for psoriasis.
She wrote on Twitter: “I think the time has come I start a medication for psoriasis. I’ve never seen it like this before and I can’t even cover it at this point. It’s taken over my body. Has anyone tried a medication for psoriasis & what kind works best? Need help ASAP!!!”
Kim has continued to keep fans up to date about the flare-ups and even shared unedited selfies in 2019.
After photos circulated of the Hulu personality out and about in 2019, many fans noticed she appeared to be covering up blotches on her face with makeup.
While one outlet wrote that Kim was having a bad skin day, the reality star corrected in a tweet: “It’s psoriasis all over my face.”
She later took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of her face covered in red blotches.
Kim captioned the snap: “Psoriasis face.”
Then in a September 2019 episode of KUWTK, Kim revealed she had been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis.
She wrote in her Poosh story: “It’s similar to arthritis that can stem from psoriasis and it can come and go.
“It’s still painful and scary, but I was happy to have a diagnosis. No matter what autoimmune condition I had, I was going to get through it, and they are all manageable with proper care.”
