After starting the season as one of the favorites, the Los Angeles Lakers are currently on the verge of missing the playoffs. They are currently in the 11th spot in the West and are a game behind the San Antonio Spurs. The Lakers are in need of some serious help. Luckily for them, help seems to be available and he happens to be a friend of LeBron.

Adam Sandler is an actor and a comedian and he is also known to be a lifelong Lakers fan. He has been spotted in many games and he loves to hoop as well. Sandler is also friends with LeBron and The King has even acted in a movie with him.

NBA Fans find a new teammate for LeBron James as Adam Sandler showcases his skills on the court

ESPN had posted a video of Sandler hooping and it went viral. He was first seen playing with his dog and then he showcases his passing ability. Even though he is not athletic, Sandler seemed to be in pretty good shape and form. And this caught the eye of the fans. With Sandler known to be a Lakers fan, they were quickly asking the Lakers to recruit him.

One fan said “The Lakers should sign him right away, they can use his skills.” while another said “Happy Gilmore wit the assist”.  Another fan talked about having played with him in the past. He said, “i played against him at the UCLA gym while in college, he was nice both on/off court”. One more fan was impressed with his game and he said, “Can pass and has midrange game!!”

This is not the first time somebody has tried to recruit Sandler. At the start of the year when the Lakers were filling out their roster, Sandler told the Lakers to sign him. And at that time he was playing a lot of pickup basketball and he was getting pretty good at him. The Lakers decided to go in another direction, and by the looks of how their season turned out, that decision may need further review.
