Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishnan and Brahmanandam starrer Ranga Marthanda debuted to Amazon Prime Video just a couple of days ago. Directed by Krishna Vamsi, the movie is now receiving an extraordinary response in the OTT space.

The latest news is that the film is now trending at the first place in the top 10 section films on Amazon Prime Video in India. The film had received a superb response from the industry people before the release through the special premiers. On the release day, the critics have also appreciated the film, but it did not work well at the box office. However it is getting its due respect on OTT through the Amazon Prime Video.

Produced by Housefull Movies and Rajashyamala Entertainments, the movie has Shivathmika Rajashekar, Rahul Sipligunj, Adarsh Balakrishna and Anasuya Bharadwaj in crucial roles. Isagnani Ilaiyaraaja is the composer of this film.

The film is an official remake of Marathi movie “Natsamrat”. Ranga Marthanda tells us the story of Raghava Rao, who is a legendary theater actor who is awarded with the title Rangamarthanda. Upon his retirement, he gets his younger daughter married and gives his property to his elder son’s wife, and wishes to lead a peaceful retired life. However, things don’t go accordingly, and there are troubles within the family. What problems did Raghava Rao and his wife face after that form the rest of the story.
