Renewed or Cancelled TV Shows: Which Should Be Saved?
Feel that chill in the air? It’s a sign that TV’s grim reaper is hovering, sharpening his scythe in preparation to thin the broadcast networks’ primetime herd.
A few “on-the-bubble” scripted series have already learned their fates, including CBS’ Bull (series finale airs May 26!), NBC’s Ordinary Joe (which had all three of its color-coded lives snuffed) and Fox’s The Big Leap (which has had its last dance).
And on the brighter side, there’s CBS’ CSI: Vegas (renewed a week after its freshman finale), NBC’s The Blacklist (which we have grown convinced will never end) and ABC’s The Rookie (renewed and thus absent from this poll for the first time ever).
But before the final rounds of gavels some a-swingin’ down, we want to know which series have your support.
In the poll below, you’ll find nearly three dozen scripted comedies and dramas currently “on the bubble.” After assessing these in-limbo options, cast your vote for up to FOUR (4) shows that you want to be renewed (even though most decisions may not come down until mid-May or in some cases later, for those with spring premieres). (THE POLL CLOSES FRIDAY, APRIL 15 at 9 am ET; S.W.A.T. was removed upon its April 8 renewal.)
Fun facts: Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist led this poll last year (and then wound up scoring a Roku Christmas movie), followed by S.W.A.T. (which was renewed weeks later) and The Rookie (which copped a renewal in mid-May); ABC’s ill-fated For Life and Call Your Mother placed last. (In our 2020 poll, S.W.A.T., The Rookie and The Resident came out on top.)
