Sharna Burgess Lists Los Angeles House – DIRT
Five years ago, Sharna Burgess’ fellow “Dancing With the Stars” pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd came over to help celebrate the purchase of her new house, breaking open a bottle of champagne on the balcony. Now the Australian dancer is ready to sashay into the sunset, hoisting her Los Angeles digs onto the market with an almost $1.4 million asking price.
“Buying this home in 2017 was such a moment for me,” she said via Instagram. “A freaking milestone of having done it all on my own. I grew so much in this home, I loved and created and worked on myself sitting on the couch and looking at that view, dreaming and manifesting. Meditating and journaling. And now it’s time for someone else to fill the space in a way that serves them.”
A lot has changed since Burgess paid $1.1 million for her stylish post-and-beam property tucked away in the Beachwood Canyon neighborhood of Hollywood Hills. Not only did she begin dating actor Brian Austin Green of “Beverly Hills 90210” fame, but the pair are also expecting a baby this summer.
Resting directly off the street, the private home is secluded behind a swath of bamboo. Built back in the early 1960s and meticulously maintained through the years, the white boxy stucco structure features two bedrooms and two baths in just over 1,150 square feet of light-filled living space rife with rich hardwood floors and wood-beam ceilings. Walls of glass offer picturesque views of the hills and city lights, as well as the iconic Hollywood Sign, from almost every vantage point.
The main floor centers around a fireside living room, and a small yet sleekly updated kitchen outfitted with an eat-in island sporting a cooktop, high-end stainless appliances, and a door that opens onto an artificial turf-clad deck ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining.
There are two downstairs bedrooms, including a master suite boasting a custom walk-in closet and an enclosed patio; and though the 0.13-acre grounds are compact, they do adjoin a “secret” Hollywoodland stairway leading down to the Beachwood Cafe and Franklin Village.
Born and raised in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia, Burgess, 36, is best known as a longtime professional partner and troupe member on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” She was first linked to Green, 48, when they were spotted on vacation in December 2020; the pair went on to compete together on season 30 of the reality show in 2021, but they were eliminated early and finished in 13th place.
