Entertainment News: Illness and Injury

Just last week, Sharon Osbourne cut her new show short to be with her husband, Ozzy, after his Covid diagnosis. This week, she announced she and her daughter, Kelly, also caught the virus.

Leave It to Beaver alum Tony Dow announced he is battling cancer. The former child star, who rose to fame as everyone’s favorite big brother, Wally Clever, announced his diagnosis on May 5th.

Celebrity Scandals

Kim Kardashian lit the internet on fire by wearing Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress to the Met Gala. The show-stopping moment was met with mixed reviews and many had strong opinions.

Kanye West is heading to court over his Donda album. A pastor, whose sermon is sampled on the track “Come To Life” has taken issue with the recording.

Kim Cattrall has finally come forward with the real reason she turned down returning to the Sex and the City franchise. She took issue with a highly questionable storyline and decided against bringing Sam back into the fold.

Bayside High School is shutting its doors once again with the cancellation of Saved By The Bell: The New Class. The show is coming to an end after a two-season run.

Entertainment News: In Memoriam

Toddlers & Tiara’s star Kailia Posey has died. The 16-year-old who rose to fame on the show and was made into an iconic meme took her own life on May 2nd.

Television mainstay David Birney passed away on May 3rd. The actor, fondly remembered for his roles in St. Elsewhere and Glitter, began his acting career in 1967 and continued for 40 years. He lost his battle with Alzheimer’s disease at 83 years old.

A second loss for the alum cast of St. Elsewhere came on Thursday with the announcement that Norman Lloyd died. The 106-year-old actor passed away at his home on Tuesday.

News came on Friday that Mike Hagerty died. The actor, well loved for his role as Mr. Treeger on Friends, died on March 5. He was 67-years-old. His cause of death is not known at the time of this publication.
