• The Senate House State Historic Site, 296 Fair St., Kingston, will host an event titled “Sugaring Off: 18th Century Style” on Saturday, April 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be demonstrations of boiling maple sap down to syrup, hewing a log into a trough, and hearthside cooking. Local militia units will also be on hand to demonstrate 18th-century camp life. Nick Martin from Minnewaska State Park will be making maple candy for visitors. • The Kingston Farmers Market has returned to its outdoor location in the Ulster County Courthouse parking lot, 285 Wall St. The market will be opened on Saturdays, April 2 and 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• The chorus Ars Choralis will give its first in-person performances on Saturday, April 2, at 7 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, 30 Pine Grove Ave., Kingston, and Sunday, April 3, at 4 p.m. at Overlook United Methodist Church, 233 Tinker St., Woodstock. • The 63rd Annual Dutchess County Regional Science Fair will take place Saturday, April 2, at Falcon Hall on the campus of Dutchess Community College, 53 Pendell Road, Poughkeepsie. There will be projects from more than 100 students from 35 schools in Dutchess County (all top place winners from their school science fairs). The fair will be open to the public without charge from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Awards will be presented from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
